- About
This Christmas, the rise in the cost of living will leave many of our neighbours struggling to put food on the table and keep their homes warm. Often, they will have to choose between the two – a situation which causes incredible stress and anxiety and can lead to a reliance on unmanageable debt like payday loans which only make financial strains worse.
At the same time as residents are facing the heating versus eating dilemma at home, many of the vital services they rely on to provide warm safe spaces to the most vulnerable, are themselves facing rising energy and food costs.
We want to ensure that everyone one in our community can afford to put food on their tables and keep themselves and their families warm, through our Winter Crisis Appeal. And we want to help our charity partners keep their doors open at a time of year when they are needed the most. By donating to our appeal, you will be helping a neighbour in need to pay a fuel bill, access emergency cash to buy essential items, or seek help in a safe, warm space. They will be offered specialist advice from our local partners, to ensure they have the right support in place to help them manage their future bills.
Your support could help neighbours like Nora, who told us:
“I would like to thank you for your generous help…it has made a huge difference to me and my family. I feel less stressed and I’m able to move on without worrying about the debt….your generous donation and support it meant so much to me and family.”
Please help us to reach our neighbours in need and ensure that nobody in Kensington and Chelsea has to choose been food and fuel. If you don’t need your £400 government fuel subsidy, please donate it, or whatever you can, today.
- £100 could provide an immediate lifeline to a resident unable to buy food and essential items for their family
- £350 could pay for a Christmas meal in a warm hub for 50 vulnerable residents on Christmas day
- £500 could pay the energy bill of a household struggling to stay warm over the Winter
*Enthuse charge a fee on all donations in order to keep the platform at a low cost to us but we understand that no-one likes paying fees so should you wish to not pay a fee; you can do so by clicking the dropdown button on the payment page and click 'other' at the bottom of the list. You can then enter zero and won’t be charged anything.
